Styled Shoots are popular among wedding vendors for several reasons, but in this case, we chose to do a styled shoot at one of the newest venues in Charleston, Merchants Hall. We hadn’t worked in the space prior to this day, so this shoot allowed us to get to know the space prior to a real wedding.
We wanted the design to feel masculine and southern, with few frills and limited color. We achieved the look by incorporating a candlescape on the head table and contrasting the brick accent wall with an ivory draped arbor intertwined with café lights. We loved the way the arbor accented the popular ceremony wall while becoming a statement piece once the lights turned down for dinner. The greenery installation with pops of white floral was the perfect amount of natural decor.
To further the inspiration, we opted for contrasting elements such as a rustic farm table and sleek ghost chairs with a white place setting accented in gold. Each guest received a mini marbled cake, rather than a large wedding cake on display.
To top it off, our models are engaged and planning for their own wedding. Styled shoots with real couples really bring the shoot alive with love!
This shoot was featured on the popular blog Equally Wed.
Thanks to all of the cooperating vendors who made this shoot lots of fun!
