I never dreamed my English education degree (from the University of Northern Iowa – go panthers!) would lead to planning events in the #1 wedding destination in the country, but honestly, I couldn’t dream up a better fit. Have you ever thought about comparing a rowdy bridal party to a high school classroom on the last day of school? The similarities are uncanny! I will make sure each person is in place and knows exactly what their role is to make your wedding day a success. In addition, I will make sure you understand completely how your day is going to flow and function.
For me, planning weddings is more than just making things look pretty. It’s about creating memories that are unique to you and creating an experience that people will look back on for years to come and think, “Wow, that was really something special."
Wedding advice from Erica: Always remember the reason for celebrating, and that at the end if the day you are married to your best friend, then the day went perfectly!
To truly know me is to understand my love for Taylor Swift, Miller Lite, bright lipstick, and my cat, Sullivan.
I grew up in Monterey, California. In 2011, my family made a huge move across the country to Charleston. Over a decade later, this California girl is more and more of a southern belle each day. Unwilling to leave this beautiful city I call home, I attended the College of Charleston where I earned my degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
I want clients to remember me as the planner that was willing to go to the ends of the earth to make their wedding perfect and everything they imagined. I truly love getting to know my clients and their families. Nothing beats that hug at the end of the night from my clients and hearing, “Today was everything and more. Thank you!”. Due to my obsession with J.Lo in The Wedding Planner and Franck in the Father of the Bride, my psychotic organization and overly detailed lists, it is destiny that my career path has lead me here.
Wedding advice from Jacqueline: Keep your priorities in mind throughout planning to create an event that is a true reflection of you and your spouse-to-be. For example, if you love film photography, splurge on your photographer and save in other areas!
To truly know me is to understand my love for Gilmore Girls, tacos and my Coton De Tulear puppy, Hero.
I am originally from Charlottesville, VA and most recently lived in Washington, D.C. for almost seven years. I am excited to now be living in beautiful Charleston, SC!
When I’m not planning weddings with Peper Events, I work as a corporate event planner out of D.C. I have always loved planning events. I absolutely live for the whirlwind that takes place during a live event.
My favorite part of the wedding day is right before the bride walks down the aisle when I get to hand her the bouquet and see her excitement and the love in her eyes. It’s such a special moment! I want my clients to remember me as someone who made the process fun and as stress-free as possible!
Wedding advice from Jamie: Slow down, take a breath, and just have fun! This might be the only time that you will have all of your favorite people in the world in one place- enjoy it!
To truly know me is to understand my love for Taylor Swift, the Bravo Channel, and Pickles!
I was born and raised in Venezuela. I moved to the United States when I was 16 to study English, and I ended up going to Valencia College/UCF where I earned my AA in Architecture. I turned to wedding planning to explore a different creative and design field, where I can be a part of making the best memories of our clients lives. I love the creative aspect of planning weddings, and of course the logistics and coordination (I'm a bit of a control freak!).
My favorite part of wedding day is looking at the smiles of our clients and the joy and happiness they get to experience throughout the day. I want them to remember me by saying that I went above and beyond to fulfill their expectations of their dream wedding.
Wedding advice from Alejandra: Take a moment to take everything in and look around to see all the people you love being there for you on the most special day of your life. Just enjoy every second of it!
To truly know me is to understand my love for my family, delicious food, and watching Gilmore Girls and Friends!
We can almost guarantee that you won't recognize these girls on wedding day, not because they won't be in full hair and makeup, but because getting them to not smile for this shoot was a CHALLENGE!
McKenna and Hollis, sometimes twin #1 and twin #2, are essential members of our team that ensure your big day goes off without a hitch and that everyone is in good spirits :) McKenna and Hollis are both Charleston natives and College of Charleston graduates.
Wedding advice from McKenna: Less is more when it comes to decor! You don't have to have a lot of decor to have a beautiful setup. Simple decor makes for some of the most elegant weddings!
To truly know McKenna is to understand her love for her family and friends, skincare, and iced coffee.
Wedding advice from Hollis: Splurge on a GREAT photographer! You don't want someone just taking pictures to take them. You want someone that will capture those special moments with your new spouse and loved ones because you will cherish those photos forever!
To truly know Hollis is to understand her love for chocolate, her family, and exercising.
