Sweet Home South Carolina

Gabriella and Andrew’s picture-perfect wedding took place at Gabriella’s marsh front family home in Wadmalaw Island, located just a few miles outside of Charleston.  It took several months of mapping, measuring, pruning, and planning to get the lawn perfected for a wedding, but we did it! And it was magical.

Gabriella’s style was a mix of rustic, vintage, and romantic. Her mom collected Victorian lounge pieces that we used as a sitting area for guests to use a vintage typewriter to type messages for the bride and groom, acting as the guest book. Such a unique and fun element!  We included accents of dusty mauve to match the bridesmaid’s dresses, and pops of gold metals finished off the sweet and rustic design.

I think any little girl with a home like this one would grow up imagining one day she would get married there.  Gabriella’s parents actually listed the home for sale following the wedding, so this is the final memory she will have of her childhood home. Wishing Andrew & Gabriella all the best in their future together!
