Tory & Jared – The Mills House

Jarred and Tory met when they were just 15 years old!  After reconnecting, attending and graduating from the University of South Carolina together, the couple decided on forever.

For Christmas in 2017, Jarred surprised Tory with plane tickets to Iceland and Scotland in the new year! After 7 YEARS! and 2 days into their trip, Jarred finally asked Tory the question she’d been waiting for on a Black Sand Beach in Vik Iceland.

Tory and Jarred wed on a beautiful January day at St. Luke’s Chapel in downtown Charleston. They look back on it all and recall how “everything about our wedding fell perfectly in to place” and “wish we could relive it every single day!”

Guests made their way to the reception at the notorious pink hotel on Meeting Street, the Mills House.  The couple agreed that picking both venues was easy as they knew they wanted to say “I do” in the city they now call home. Both venues encompassed southern charm, history, and elegance and “met every expectation” they could have set for their big day.

Cocktail hour was held on the cafe lit courtyard where guests enjoyed passed hors d’ oeuvres. Meanwhile, Tory and Jared shared a private cocktail hour together post-ceremony in the hotel lobby.

After delicious Charleston classics like shrimp and grits were served, DJ Rehab got everyone up and dancing. The evening led up to a bell-ringing send-off on Meeting Street, where each guest was given a small bell as a favor to ring. The couple exited through the guests into a Charleston rickshaw adorned with a white floral arch and a “just married” sign. Our team wishes this sweet couple nothing but the best in the years to come. Here’s to Mr. and Mrs. Wadford!
