A Charleston Winter Wonderland!
Jessie and Michael are natives of the Lowcountry, and they chose to get married on the first day of December at Middleton Place. When a rain shower threatened to roll through, we were forced to switch the ceremony location from the gardens into the pavilion, which ended up making for a beautiful ceremony spot, complete with a wooden cross carefully handcrafted by Jessie’s dad.
Jessie wanted a wintery vibe without feeling like Christmas. We incorporated silvers, whites, and grays to bring in holiday-inspired colors without feeling like there was a theme. We toned down the sparkle with wooden accents. (Fitting that their new last name would be Wood!) Decor elements such as pinecones and icicles adorned the reception space and even made an appearance on the cake!
Jessie and Michael were sent off in style with a sparkler exit, where Jessie was able to wear her white fur. We wish The Woods nothing but love and happiness in the years ahead!
