A little party never killed nobody, right?!
From our first planning meeting, Jess and Brandon expressed that they were the last of their friends to be getting married and they really wanted it to be fun and unique! They OUT DID themselves on their Great Gatsby/Roaring 20’s design and theme.
November is a hard month to plan for in Charleston because it could be warm or it could be cold! This particular day was chillier than what we usually have, so we decided to pull the trigger on a beautiful sailcloth tent and some heaters to keep everyone nice and cozy underneath. This ended up unintentionally elevating the Gatsby House feel that much more! It truly felt like Gatsby himself threw this extravagant party at the Wickliffe House!
Guests followed their champagne escort to their seats, where the 20’s prohibition theme continued. Each table was named a different type of liquor. Guests also had shot glasses at their table and during toasts, everyone was encouraged to sample their table’s type of liquor.
We really have to give it to all of Jessica and Brandon’s friends and family for KILLING the costume contest. Everyone dressed the part and looked straight out of the 1920’s! We wish this amazing pair a lifetime of love and happiness!
