Iowa comes to Charleston

When Hilary’s inquiry email came through our system with the phrase “Go Panthers!” I knew we would be a match!  I met with her and her mom for coffee during their vacation to Seabrook Island, and it was the perfect first date!  Her mom instantly reminded me of mine, and I had so much fun helping these fellow Iowa natives plan their Charleston wedding.

When first getting a plan in place for a wedding, we discuss things like, “What are things you know you want to include, what are your priorities, where do you want to spend money and where do you want to scale back, etc.”  Hilary had a quick answer for me: there was going to be donuts in place of a cake.  Who has the best donuts in town? Even though the summer rain shower prevented us from hosting the ceremony on the lawn at Creek Club as planned, moving it inside in front of the fireplace created a more intimate experience for everyone in attendance.

All of their Midwest and Charlotte guests had a ball celebrating the 4th of July in Charleston at the beach and capping off their vacation with this beautiful wedding.  We ended the night with fireworks of our own, as we sent the bride and groom off to the after party with a sparkler exit.
