Party like a… New Yorker!
Nicolette and Julian met back in high school but later became college sweethearts. When Nicolette lived in Manhattan she loved to take strolls to the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park where Blair and Chuck get married from her all-time favorite show! On March 28th, 2019 Julian took Nicolette to the park to see the Bethesda Fountain, it was the day before she was moving out of her Manhattan apartment and we were going to be moving to Maine the next week. When they got to the fountain Julian got down on one knee and asked Nicolette to marry him. He also had hired a photographer who had jumped out and captured it all. After Nicolette said YES, Julian stood up and told her to look up at the bridge and my family and his were all up there watching. Nicolette recallsĀ “It was like a movie!”.
Nicolette knew exactly what she wanted from the get-go. She had such a clear vision on what her wedding would look like and we were right there to help bring it to life. She wanted to give everyone that came into town a true Charleston experience and make it unlike any wedding back home. Nicolette & Julian fell in love with Middleton Place and all it’s southern charm.
Fresh Weddings and Events decked out the dance floor with 100 hanging white roses and a head table of our dreams. Guests place settings were adorned with a gold Godiva box of chocolate (Blair’s favorite!!!) on a gold beaded charger. Nicolette’s bridesmaids wore gorgeous satin champagne dresses with delicate pearl accents and Julian’s groomsmen went with the classic black tux. The ladies held timeless long stem white roses.
Now, I’ve been to a lot of weddings. I’ve seen a lot of things. I’ve seen dancing crowds, non-dancing crowds, mellow crowds, rowdy crowds, but I’ve never EVER seen something like this crowd. When I say they brought it, they brought it all the way to Charleston, South Carolina. Much in part to Bararrini Productions who provided their DJ services from New York. Kevin told me they do things differently in NY and that it was going to be crazy fun and he was so right. There were light shows, dancing during dinner, there was dancing on the stage, there was even crowd surfing!
A beautiful beautiful event unlike any other! Cheers to these two love bird!
