New Yorkers Melissa and John picked Mingo Point for their southern destination wedding. They chose all the Charleston staples like marsh views, Lowcountry boil and Gator favors. The July heat + humidity also gave guests a true southern experience but the breeze off the water made for a truly beautiful summer evening to celebrate the couple.

The groom John kept the first dance song a secret from his bride Melissa, revealing it as they shared their first dance. He had a song written about their relationship and everyone (including me) was bawling.
