Melanie is the epitome of a Southern bride. Monogram everything! Hydrangea! Blue and white china! No detail was spared, and she knew what she wanted from our very first planning meeting. We love a bride who knows what she wants!
Their ceremony took place at St. Luke’s Chapel and was performed by the pastor who married her parents. How sweet! That is a tradition they were so fortunate to be able to incorporate. Since the wedding took place in the winter, we rushed back to the Rice Mill following the ceremony to ensure we got those sunset photos at the marina before the sun went down.
Lowcountry Entertainment kept the dance floor full all night long, and when it was time for dessert, guests were pleasantly surprised with an array (5!) of Great American Cookie cookie cakes. They included all those frosting phrases you expect from a cookie cake, and it was a perfect example of Melanie’s fun personality and her ability to break tradition. We always stress the fact that you don’t have to have a wedding cake if you don’t want one!
Wishing Melanie and Luke all the best in their future together!
