Rarely, do I ever, call a wedding day perfect. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the day and paints an unrealistic picture. But Caitlin and Will’s wedding day was…. so perfect.
Lowndes Grove is a gorgeous venue located right on the Ashley River in the upper peninsula of Charleston, and we typically have to plan our design around a bit of wind here. When Caitlin told me she wanted centerpieces filled with candles and an open-gabled tent, I was undoubtedly nervous to pull it off. I am not joking when I say there are probably a total of 5 days in a year that this design would have worked, and their day was one of them. The wind never got above 5mph, allowing for the most beautiful sit-down dinner overlooking the sunset on the river with the most expansive views.
We created a light and bright experience with a clear top tent, white draping, white beaded chandeliers, and blush toned florals, and we grounded the colors with wooden farm tables and flowing greenery from the tables and the ceilings. It could have not been more romantic.
Wishing these two all the best as they have moved back to Charleston together and no longer have to live long distance. I just love them!
