Audrey & Mick – Alhambra Hall

A bridal jumpsuit, a record player cake stand, homemade macramé … where do we begin with the detail that created this absolutely perfect wedding for these two old souls. First of all, when Audrey, Mick, and Erica met for their consultation it was love at first coffee date. Being from Iowa as well, they clicked immediately and these two reminded Erica of home with every conversation. She has missed them every day since their wedding! But enough with the sappiness, let’s get back to their day 😉

Alhambra Hall was the perfect venue to house their style. The wooden beams of the hall and the golden hour lighting through the ceremony oak balanced out all of the vintage tones we incorporated into their wedding design. Audrey’s décor was DIY done right — cut glass beer bottles as votive holders, macramé on the fireplace and the bridal wrap, and collected records as their guest book. When she danced with her dad to BB King, the evening was complete.

DJ Easy Breezy (Matt) hosted a vinyl cocktail hour on the porch overlooking the harbor while the bride and groom took sunset photos. After dinner, Thurston Southern served “cheesies”, a must-have for this couple. “Cheesies” are a grilled cheese with macaroni and cheese in the middle served with tomato soup- a nod to their first date at a brewery where they live in Chicago (and frequent for this late-night snack.) We have never had so many guests remark, “This wedding was so them. “We hope Audrey and Mick continue to drink craft beer, listen to the oldies, and dance together at sunset for the rest of their lives!
