Hues of Blues!

Abigail and Brandon have such an amazing story. They were both deployed in Qatar for most of their planning process so we worked together primarily over email.  For being such a visual person, I know this was hard for Abigail! But I was so thankful for her trust in our team to pull things together, and the final product ended up being amazing!
While planning for a winter wedding in Charleston, we were hoping for mild weather, and mother nature sure delivered.  Abigail chose varying shades light blue for her bridesmaids’ gowns, and we pulled that into the decor of the reception by using colored glass water goblets, and a lighter shade of slate for the napkins.  They had a large bridal party of 15 attendants, so coming up with a way to make their head table fit into the space was a challenge.  Their head table ended up being one of our favorite designs, where we had the couple at a sweetheart table in between two large and long tables for wedding party attendants and dates.  Their 2-tiered blue water-colored wedding cake was almost too gorgeous to eat!  Good thing Swank provided some cookie sandwiches and caramel brownies, too!
We emphasized the dance floor by adding one large gold chandelier adorned with greenery.  Their dance party was one for the books, and we ended with a few polka songs to celebrate the bride’s heritage.  It’s always so much fun to learn new traditions and one of the most interesting parts of this job!

Following the wedding, Abigail and Brandon were stationed together in Germany.  We are so proud and honored to have been a part of their wedding celebration, and so very thankful for their services to our country.
