How They Met:

Shannon, a newly graduated nurse from USC and Travis, a new resident of Columbia from Cincinnati caught the eye of each other one night out at one of the best local spots in Columbia- Five Points. They say since that night they have been completely inseparable. Shannon knew from then on that she was sure of him, forever. After a year of dating, Travis and Shannon decided they wanted to make Nashville their new home. Travis got down on one knee in front of The Ryman, a famous concert venue in Nashville, right before seeing Shannon’s favorite band for her birthday.

The Big Day:

Shannon and Travis’s wedding couldn’t have been more lovely from the weather to the beautiful decor. Shannon says that Travis actually played a large role in helping her with all the wedding planning and keeping her relaxed throughout the process.What a guy!

It was a beautiful sunny day on the water which made a truly beautiful ceremony under the oak trees. Travis and his groomsmen walked out to “Africa” by Toto, which was a first for us at Peper Events but after Shannon and Travis’s wedding we sure hope it’s not the last!!

Shannon and Travis share a special language of love through music as throughout their relationship they’ve frequented many concerts and music festivals. This played a fun role in their big day as most of their song selections such as their first dance, recessional song, etc. were from bands that they have seen live together. They both acknowledge that music, and live music for that matter, has been a big part of growing their relationship through the years.

Tear inducing speeches, always a dad’s promise to break his new son-in-laws legs, followed by lots of dancing, an appearance of an absentee guest on a fat head, and an overall lively and bust-a-move type of crowd, made for an incredible reception to celebrate Shannon and Travis’s new union.

Although sparklers were a no go due to rain about 20 minutes prior to send off their photographer extraordinaire, Roxanne Still (who Shannon actually grew up with) and her trusty partner in photography and life, Trent, created a beautiful sparkler lit mini session on the porch. We wish Shannon and Travis a lifetime full of happiness and love!
