Amanda and Chris celebrated their marriage on a gorgeous Charleston summer day at Middleton Place Plantation. Amanda spent the day getting ready with her girls and her mom at the Inn at Middleton Place. The festivities kicked off with a heartwarming first look with Amanda’s dad at the Inn. It was even hard for us to hold back the tears! While there was no first look with her groom, Amanda was able to sneak in a blindfolded prayer with Chris before their ceremony. He would just have to wait to see his bride until she walked down the aisle of the Octagonal Garden.
The lavender in the garden was in full bloom and showing off during this afternoon ceremony. The light blue tones of the bridesmaid’s dresses and the hints of burgundy throughout their bouquets complimented each other beautifully. For the reception, we had a lot of fun designing the draping and lighting inside of the new Pavilion. These elegant touches were just enough to soften the room into Amanda’s classic, southern style.
To top off the celebration of the newlyweds, Amanda and Chris honored her grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary who were celebrating the same night. She surprised them with their own cake and their own dance – So sweet! We loved working with Amanda and Chris to make their wedding dreams come to life and we wish nothing but the best for them in their new life together!
